Two studies of the Virgin and Child stroking a kitten, three studies of the Child with the kitten and profile of a young man.

Clearly one of his early works. More than stroking the kitten, the Child is holding its neck and carrying it on his shoulders; the Virgin appears in one of the studies to be warning him to not harm the animal; the study of the playful rapport of the Child with the kitten is remarkable.

Opera chiaramente giovanile. Più che accarezzare il gatto, il Bambino lo stringe al collo e se lo porta in spalla; in uno degli studi sembra che la Madonna lo ammonisca a non strapazzare l’animale; notevole lo studio del rapporto giocoso del Bambino col gatto.
