Drawing
destined to be an incision. Of doubtful attribution, it is attributed to
Perin del Vaga and Giulio Romano and has been compared to the studies by
Raphael for the frescos in the Heliodorus Room in the Vatican. It is
possible to recognise it as a drawing of the highest quality despite
poor preservation. If it is by Raphael, it was drawn not later than
1414-1415.

lacunoso, cm 25 x 20.

Disegno
destinato a un’incisione, di attribuzione molto dubbia, attribuito
anche a Perin del Vaga e a Giulio Romano; è stato messo in rapporto
agli studi di Raffaello per gli affreschi della Stanza di Eliodoro in
Vaticano. Malgrado la pessima conservazione, è possibile riconoscere in
questo foglio un disegno di alta qualità; se riconosciuto a Raffaello,
è databile non oltre il 1414-1515.
