Two women with a child

Study for a group of figures placed centrally in the fresco Fire in the Village. The child is only sketched and might be the work of a pupil, following a preparatory sketch by Raphael. In respect to the two previous drawings (37and 38), this has less detail and shows more reflection and differences when compared to the actual fresco.

Studio per un gruppo di figure collocate al centro dell’affresco dell’Incendio di Borgo. Il bambino è soltanto abbozzato, e questo ha fatto pensare all’opera di un allievo su uno schizzo preparatorio di Raffaello. Rispetto ai due disegni precedenti (schede 37 e 38), questo è meno dettagliato e mostra numerosi pentimenti, oltre a differenze rispetto all’affresco.
