There appears the writing “Raffaello” at the bottom right but it is not a signature. It is a study for the figure in the act of climbing a wall, found in the Fire in the Village. It is believed that this drawing was also a copy of the fresco that differs especially in the facial expression and the originality of the lines and the force of movement, judged by almost all critics as authentic. Dated around 1514.

In basso a sinistra appare la scritta (non autografa) “Rafaello”. Studio per una figura nell’atto di calarsi da un muro, quale si ritrova nel citato Incendio di Borgo. Anche per questo disegno è stato sostenuto che si trattasse di una copia dall’affresco realizzato da cui differisce specialmente nell’espressione del viso, ma per originalità di tratto e forza del movimento viene giudicata quasi unanimemente autografa. Databile intorno al 1514.
