Model
that presents numerous variants in respect to the fresco in the
Heliodorus Room in the Vatican. The drawing shows different repenting
figures, in particular in the figures of the soldiers and the fonts of
light. The date is uncertain but 1511 and even 1513 have been offered.
The latter is the probable year of the painting of the fresco. The model
should be a re-elaboration of a previous project, similar to that used
for the cartoon in the Liberation of St. Peter.

Modello
che presenta numerose varianti rispetto all’affresco nella Stanza di
Eliodoro in Vaticano. Il disegno mostra anche diversi pentimenti, in
particolare nelle figure dei soldati e nelle fonti di luce. La datazione
è incerta: è stato proposto il 1511 ma anche il 1513, probabile anno
della realizzazione dell’affresco. Il modello sarebbe una
rielaborazione di un progetto precedente, più simile a quello servito
per il cartone della Liberazione di San Pietro.
