THE EXTASY OF ST. FRANCIS
The scene shows St Francis watched by the monks whilst all his body is raised from the ground with his arms stretched out surrounded by a shining cloud. The idea behind the scene was certainly by Giotto but the painting clearly belongs to other artists.

La scena raffigura San Francesco scrutato dai frati mentre si solleva da terra con tutto il corpo e con le mani protese, circondato da una nuvoletta risplendente.
L’ideazione della scena è sicuramente di Giotto ma la stesura sembra appartenere largamente ad altre mani.
