È evidente come il titano sia in rapporto compositivo con la «Notte» secondo un canone di contrapposto, sviluppato in ogni atteggiamento delle membra. Nell'effetto suggestivo del «non-finito», il volto sembra ridotto alla intensità dello sguardo. Sono opere come queste e più ancora la loro perfetta integrazione in un potente e organico sistema strutturale, a giustificare il paragone con la poesia dantesca.
