Anonimo    Mese di Ottobre Il tema dei mesi è, con quello delle arti e mestieri, frequentissimo nella scultura italiana del Duecento; i due cicli rivelano strette affinità iconografiche, ispirandosi ambedue alle più comuni attività dell'uomo nelle campagne e nelle botteghe. L'ignoto grande maestro di Ferrara si ispira alla potente serie dei Mesi del Battistero di Parma, dovuti all'Antelami e ai suoi stretti collaboratori: addolcendone la gravità con un fare più discorsivo.	Anonimo    The Month of October The theme of the Months, together with those of the arts and trades, is frequently found in Italian, 12th century sculpture. The two cycles reveal a close iconographic affinity, both inspired by man’s most common activities in the countryside and in the shops. The unknown great artist of Ferrara was inspired by the potent series of Months in the Baptistery in Parma, the work of Antelami and his collaborators, softening the severity with a more discursive method.
