Un
bimbo che s'affaccia al mondo dei grandi, sorpresa e sgomento. Lo
scultore doveva eseguire il ritratto di un bimbo, ma non ne faceva
nulla, il modello oggettivamente immobile non gli interessava; fino a
quando, fortuitamente, gli riuscģ di cogliere il gesto, un effetto che
si inserisse fluido e spontaneo nel suo mondo fantastico. Allora l'opera
nacque di getto, freneticamente. |

A child facing
the world of grownups, surprised and ill-at-ease. The sculptor had been
supposed to execute the portrait of a child, but he could do nothing
since the detached immobility of the sitter did not interest him.
Finally, by chance, he was able to catch the gesture, an effect that
entered fluidly and spontaneously into his fantasy world. Then work came
to life, effortlessly and with enthusiasm. |
