KECH'ARIS - CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION Xlllth century
Chapel built under the Turkish domination (1220). This is a small building with a single nave and a dome on a very tall drum. It is preceded by a porch which almost doubles its length. Islamic influence ìs evident in the stalactite decoration of the capitals. The entrance divided by a squat column is unusual for Armenia (this solution is on the contrary typical of French Romanesque architecture).
